Misconceptions of Christianity

Many think Christianity is all about rules...ON THE CONTRARY, it is about freedom. Freedom from reducing ourselves to a clump of cells or some object, experience, desire, attraction, wealth, power, and/or honor. Instead, we are beloved children of God; known, loved, and cared for. So many go through life not knowing this, many feeling crushed by what they think of themselves or other think about them when they truly are loved. This love comes without cost or merit to all who choose to accept it. "‘I am the LORD your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open wide your mouth that I may fill it.’ But my people did not listen to my words; Israel would not submit to me. So I thrust them away to the hardness of their heart;‘Let them walk in their own machinations.’ O that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways,

In a moment I would humble their foes, and turn back my hand against their oppressors." Psalm 81:11-15

Praise God for his tender care! I have seen so much love from Him, and not always in a big way, but in the smallest and most specific ways. Truly, I know there is nothing, not even death which may separate me from my love, the Lord and His all-encompassing love for me.
