"Christian petition is centered on the desire and searches for the Kingdom to come, in keeping with the teaching of Christ.107 There is a hierarchy in these petitions: we pray first for the Kingdom, then for what is necessary to welcome it and cooperate with its coming. This collaboration with the mission of Christ and the Holy Spirit, which is now that of the Church, is the object of the prayer of the apostolic community. It is the prayer of Paul, the apostle par excellence, which reveals to us how the divine solicitude for all the churches ought to inspire Christian prayer. By prayer, every baptized person works for the coming of the Kingdom." Catechism of the Catholic Church 2632
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for the timely help." Hebrews 4:15-16
Have a prayer intention and/or want to be in a prayer group? Click here to connect with other devoted Christians to pray, via the GroupMe application. This is a virtual based prayer group one that doesn’t require any meet time or place. We post our intentions and then every so often (weekly if possible) you can use the phrase “for the intentions posted in this GroupMe and those posting the intentions” during your devotions. No real difficult commitment and easy access using the free GroupMe group messaging application. If you get the app/use the website you can stop text messages and/or mute it so you don’t need to deal with an excessive amount of notifications. We could use some more prayer intentions and prayers. If you add someone to the group please encourage them to get the app/website, it opens a variety of features that are helpful for this application. Updates on answered prayers are welcome, although please keep them limited to once or twice if possible. You may direct message, anyone, in the group for inquiry, by clicking on their profile picture. First names are sufficient for intentions.
